The space I chose was college ave. The main thoroughfare through campus. It clearly runs the length of campus, and connects almost every building on campus. The street is lined with trees and lamp posts and is lined red brick giving the space some organization and order. During the middle of the day people use college ave to get to and from everywhere and socialize on the street with long boards or just hanging out. College ave also allows police and other emergency vehicles to access the buildings along the street. In understanding circles, College Ave is covered in them. The question is "are circles sacred spots"? I would say on College ave, no. Though they do seem to be the places where most people cross College Ave but they are not sacred places. But College Ave does some significance to the campus. It has been here on campus as long as this place has been a school. It defines the look of the UNCG campus.
If UNCG were a Roman city, College Ave would be Cardo of campus. UNCG is set out on a sort of grid like the rest of Greensboro.
